Sterilization & Pouching Process
Step 1
Items are inspected, counted, organized, and grouped.
Step 2
Groups are removed from plastic bags, washed in a 20 min cycle in a Ultrasonic machine which is heated.(this machine is exclusively used for jewelry and nothing else)
Step 3
The jewelry is then dried in a sterile room.
Step 4
Once completely dry, the jewelry is pouched and placed in sterile trays. We use a #4460 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 Self-Sealing Sterilization Pouch with internal and external Indicators.
Step 5
The Ritter M9D Autoclave is loaded using distilled water and a Class 5 indicator strip. Pouched Cycle 30 min / Temp 275 / Pressure 200 and each batch is entered into our sterilization log Sheet.
Step 6
The autoclave then runs a complete dry cycle.
Step 7
Once sterilized the jewelry is grouped in batches of 10 and transferred directly into Ziploc bags and kept in our sterile room until an order is made.
Spore Tests
Our Spore tests are sent and processed by B-Safe a Germiphene Corporation. Test results are available by request.
Unsterilized Option
All of our jewelry is also available unsterilized which goes through steps 1,2,and 3.
